Default Help with EK power window conversion!

I have a 97 DX. I am using a floor harness from a 97 EX. I have all of the fuses and relays installed. I don't have the driver side door wired up. I do have the passanger side wired up but it's not working.

On the passanger harness from a 97 EX, I have 12v to one of the pins on the connector that goes to the switch. When I connect this to the switch I get 12v to the pin on the connector that connects to the regulator/motor. the regulator does not go up nor down! I tested the regulator/motor by feeding it a direct 12v and it moves! what am I missing here?! Is the passanger side dependant on the driver side to work?

I am starting to think that this has something to do with the driver side master "on/off" switch. How would I go about bypassing this? I have a wiring diagram but not sure how to use it. If anyone needs these documents to help, please pm me!

Yes, your Master Switch needs to be in the picture...

If you have the Helm Manual, P 23-228 will show the wire colors for the D-side Master Switch., and P 23-229 will show how to connect them to test for P-side operation and stuff. P 23-232 shows the P-side Switch Test procedures.

What documentation do you have?

The Main Switch (On/Off) of the Master Switch serves as the connection to Ground for the P-side Power Window Motor, whether it goes up or down.

The Blue/Red and Blue/White Wires from the P-side Switch use either the Blue/Yellow or Blue/Orange in the D-Side (for down & up, respectively) to send the 12V from the Green/Black wire. If your Main Switch is off, or not plugged in, then you'll have to find another way to ground it.

So... Jump the Blue/Yellow wire on the D-side to Ground, and try to roll the Window down (using the P-side Switch). Jump the Blue/Orange wire on the D-side to Ground, and try to roll the Window up...

Tell us what happens...

Problem is that I don't have the d-harness. I only have the floor harness which ends at the door. are the colors that same here? can both the wires you describe on the d-side be grounded at the same time?

I have the civic system wiring diagrams.

Is your Floor Harness from a 4DR EX, or a 2DR EX?

floor harness is a 96-98 2dr ex.

for diakom-auto http://www.diakom.ru Taganrog support@diakom.ru

copyright 1998 mitchel repair information company.

it seems pretty legit. I can't remember where i got it from. might of been hondahookups.com

damn dude, would you like me to look for the both door harness for you.i know for a fact they have a cvomplete car in the junkyard.let me know.i'll go get it sunday.the price is usually about $60.00 for the doors and $100 for the floor harness.i've purchased about 5 sets from the same place.they allow me to pull it myself.saves them manpower and allows me to make sure that all the wiring stays in one piece and not molested. .g/l

Actually JasonGhostz figured it out! It was the wires he mentioned. On the floor harness itself, there are 2 blue/yellow wires, I used the thinner one but supposed to use the thicker one and ground it. Now the passanger side fully works!

Medjosh6, thanks for your help. If I need those parts I will def hit you up. I have another deal pending on these parts from another HT member!
