HELP ! with Eibach Spring install !! 56K ok !
alright, I'm installing these on my Neuspeed Koni Yellows, I previously had Tom's Motor Sport Adjustable Springs, and let me tell you, it was the worst ride ever !
so I took those off, and now I'm installing my new Eibach sport Springs, and they look Super big ! my old ones are tiny compare to these
this bolt is at the tightest it can go, should I loosen it so the spring will expand ?
my neuspeeds are already on the "lowered" position, so it's about an 1" lower then stock
my old adjustable spring, with my new one installed on the strut, and my new uncompressed spring
so my question is, how tight do I put the first bolt at the top ?
and these look very big to me, are these even the right springs ? haha
the whole thing feels very very stiff.
anyways, I kinda do need answer fast, cause my car is apart, I need it for tonight
thanks

WHAT?
They are short cause they are a coilover spring. The ground control kit with Eibach race springs are the same way!
Yes, those springs are okay, they look to be the same weight as a stock spring.
The top nut should tighten against the washers and bushings. Being a Koni shock, you should first put a flat washer against the welded stop on the top of the rod. Then put the lower bushing inplace, the top mount, the top bushing, and the top washer followed by the top nut and tighten it down inplace.
The top mount assembly should be snug against the lower bushing. Typically you need to use a spring compressor to compress the spring and then tighten together the top mount onto the shock rod and then release the spring to the top mount.
When I was done assembling my Koni's, there was a lot of thread showing on the top. Koni gives you two thin nuts to put on as well to lock them together, looks like you only have one.
