Default HELP!! ECU Codes wierd?

Got a 1994 Del Sol Si with a D16Z6, Automatic. Was driving to work today and the CEL came on. One minute later, the engine shut down!. Still had electrical but no RPM's. Towed home and the ECU code reads...BLINK, 5 sec pause, BLINK, 5 sec pause, BLINK for like a million short blinks. Never have I seen a code such as this. I have spark, and fuel pressure, but no startie! Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks a bunch, OKI

take off the negative cable in the battery for 5 mins and then put it back on and see if the codes would go away

If that does not work, try a different ecu if one is available to you. Is the ecu chipped? Is this a new ecu or your original?

Well, I'm stationed in Sicily, Italy. This is the only Del Sol on the island. Hondas aren't too popular here. I pulled the plug, reattached it to the wire, had a friend give it some cranks and I got no spark! Am I doing this right to check for spark?? Where is the pressure release valve to see if fuel is flowing?? The engine cranks, but will not start.

well if that is right it sounds like an o2 sensor code (one blink & pause would be a code 1). But that will not cause the car not to start... What I if you are not getting spark you could also have a problem with your coil or ingniter. Your discription of what happened would suggest that. So I would say your problem is one of two things distributor (most likely igniter or coil) or possibly the ECU it's self. If you do not have any of thease parts available to you (just to check it out). And the car is getting no spark, Then I would start by replaceing the igniter & then the coil with new ones. They should not be hard to find.

I checked the coil as per the Haynes manual for resistance checks. The coil resistance checks bad! I'm reading low ohm on the primary and damn near open on the secondary. I saw a distributor on ebay so I may just get the whole thing. When you say "ignitor" are you referring to the ignition control module? I checked the price on that and its about $200. I did the whole "pulling plug and grounding it turing ignition" and I got no spark. Let me know what you think. Thanks for all your help! Jayson
