Default Help with ditching tips

I got my N1 installed, and now every time I see a cop, I sketch like I got an AK in the trunk. And they keep toying with me too. THe other night at a light, HBPD car crossed 3 lanes on an empty road in the wee hours to be behind me at the light. I'm learning to be as quiet as possible, but any good evasion tips?

Everytime I got down to hb I get pulled over because of my exhaust. When I was trying to be quiet the pulled me over anyways and told me the he knew I was short shifting it to keep it quiet. only advise I could give is put the baffle and then cruise.

Damn hater cops. They'll never learn that it's great to street race going 100+ being drunk as hell and weaving through traffic at rush-hour

I didn't mean it that way, dude. Don't be so defensive. It's not a vast deductive leap to think that a forum devoted to street racing might contain a few people that have outrun cops at one time or another.

Don't go into Hermosa, those cops are dicks. That city gets all of its revenue from parking tickets and fix-its. They got nothing better to do. Don't come up to Manhattan either. The cops here in my hometown are only traffic, they don't do **** else.

Edit: Example: They congratulated themselves for GREAT police work after they pulled over a guy without a headlight. It turned out he was a thief with an outstanding warrant and they thought they were all pro for arresting and catching him. OOOOOO

get a second washerfluid resivour (or use your existing one if you don't use it for the windows.)...

Fill it with coolant and run the sprayer lines/nozzle so it points at your new exhaust...

whenever the po-po get on your tail... give'em a smoke show... they'll think you blew a headgasket or something..... they slow down as not to hit the breaking down car... you take off.

That or get a reasonable exhaust that doesn't attract them like 2 drunk driving teen girls in bikini's.

I've done my share of avoiding cops with a loud exhaust. I've been pulled over by CHP with out a cat even on the car...just running off the downpipe on my stealth. My best advice...don't do anything speratic...cause they'll know something is up and pull you over. Follow all traffic laws so they don't have any reason to pull you over other than the exhaust. I'm still gettin used to my civic...but I'd say shift at about 2500 RPM, and try and engage the clutch at the matched RPM for the next gear. When you get the chance...pull over in a 7-11, gas station, or anything thats open and walk inside. I was speeding 45mph in a 25 and saw a cop...luckily there was traffic so I went into a plaza and decided to look at new phone plans for a 1/2 hour at Cingular.

Or you can take the easier and more efficient route and buy a quiet exhaust like I did on my civic. I got tired of having cops follow me in the Stealth. That thing sounded like a propellar plane at idle...and about as loud too. Have not been pulled yet in my civic. Most of the time they don't even give me a second look cause my car is so quiet. Hehehe.

Oh yeah...and my Stealth setup was 2.5" test pipe, 2.5" straight through exhaust, and an N1 Muffler 6.5" Canister. You could litterally hear me coming a mile away if I was getting off the freeway.
