Help with DD purchase!
Okay, I'm looking to buy another car for DD duty while I build my eg hatch for K. Question is, what would be a better buy?:
1996 civic lx sedan
~$3000
144000 miles
121/month insurance
Fully stock with d15 I think.
Clean paint, minimal body damage
1998 integra gsr sedan
~$3900
190000 on chassis
156/month insurance
Fully stock with b18c1 (fresh rebuild 5 months ago)
Clean paint, minimal body damage
Really want the gsr but not sure if worth it, budget was around 3000 but can spend more if needed. Let me know your thoughts!

Re: Help with DD purchase!
Getting a sedan to also double as future family car.
My main concerns are the high miles on the teggy chassis. (Tranny, wheel bearings, moldings, bushings, etc.)
Also don't want to be spending money on fixing things so I can spend for the hatch.
I'll also get better gas mileage out of the d series.
But will the rebuilt b18 outlast the d if maintained properly? I'll probably be hammering on it here and there since its gsr motor.

Re: Help with DD purchase!
Wheel bearings are cheap and easy to fix, visually inspect bushings and listen for creaks/noises while driving. I'm sure you'll drive it so you'll see how the tranny/clutch are. Compression test for the motor. I fail to see an issue if it all checks out. Integra for sure
