What's up guys I need all the help I can get I bought a 96 ek
That has a d16y7 in it but it has a idle problem and its throwing a iacv code
And the speedo isint working it has a p2e obd2 ecu but i think the engine harness is automatic what do I do or what can I do to fix it

Pull the iacv off and clean it then reinstall it

If you don't know how to clean it properly check the FAQS..its been gone over hundreds of times how to fix that idle problem

Aw my bad I forgot to post that I had already cleaned the iacv and I bought a.new one
And its still doing it do u think.mabey the auto harness is making this problem.

no the y7 use's the same 3 wire iacv so should be a problem unless the harness (or ecu) is for a y8 (y8 auto 3-wire,standard 2-wire iacv) and the speedo plug is also the same for automatic and manuel trans does the speedo jump or just not work period ?

it has a p2e ecu and its a manuual ecu and i checked the iacv wires and its a 3 wire so i dont knw and for the speedo it just dosent work at all but the gas gauge and temp do work

Describe the idle problem.

p1298 and p1509 it jerks wen at a low rpm in every gear and wen at idel it gose up to 2500rpm then down ect

p1298 eld high voltage(shouldn't cause idle issues) p1509 is iacv circuit failure. so it's possible your iacv is bad or there is a wiring problem cleaning it won't have any effect.

Yea I think its a wiring problem what u think I should do or what should I look
For any advice couldn't hurt already replaced the iacv so I knw its not that

check the wire's with an dvom make sure all your fuses are good check for loose pins at ecu and iacv that sort of thing

The iacv wires were coroded under the plastic
