help cylinder stops firing!?
let me start off by saying no one so far has been able to help and im out of options,ok now for the problem. i have a 94 del sol with the d16z6 engine it got turboed about 4 months ago and it ran great at the track but after the fourth run something shorted out. it throws a 41 or 42 code for the o2heater sensor but thats not the prob.when it gets to about 5000rpm vtec doesnt work and the number 3 i think cylinder stops firing.after a few minutes it goes back to normal but i think thats y vtec isnt kicking in. if u know y my cylinder mit not be firing or the vtec thing pleaz help. thanks

so... what have you checked? The normal: compression, leakdown, fuel pressure, etc..?
Replaced: Plugs, wires, fuel filter
Personally.. i'd fix the code 41 to be safe.. its either your wiring or the O2 thats bad.. but its easier to troubleshoot knowing nothing else is wrong.
Also.. what does it sound like? Does the #4 stop working even when you're below 5k? If so, you can pull the spark plug and see if your idle changes.. there are lots of things to try.. but please say what you've already tried so as not to waste typing/efforts

i did a compression test and leakdown and all that,they all said it was good.what happens is when the turbos spooled and im passing 5k the second cylinder just stops firing .if i let if idle for a min or two it goes back to normal.could if be that my injectors are cuting off? and could that be the reason that my o2 sensor blow at the track a few months back? by the way im running 6-7 psi

i got b16a motor with a 95 gsr head. the problem i'm having is my timing keeps jumping. i try to adjust it and it seems nothing is working. i make sure that the motor is at top dead center and i line up the cam gears and the motor will start but when you give it gas it drops rpms to about 500 and then it'll pick up. almost as if the timing is still off by a little. but i can't seem to get it right. i have skunk2 cam gears and i called the tech support and they way they told me to line up the gears made the car not turn over. what to do?
