help with crazy speedometer
my speed neddle has a mind of its own sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt sometimes it goes a full 360o and gets stuck on the the little black niddle that keeps it from dropping from -0mph when car its not moving; when Im moving it tends to stay in the 100mph area and moves back and forth and sometimes when I hit a bump kinda hard it goes back to normal so somebody told me to change the whole cluster but everything else its working fine (just the gas neddle that tends to lie and goes from full to emty sometimes when I drive even if I fill the tank at the gas station the same day but I think thats a fuel system problem *Any advise on that will be apreciated too ) NEway SO is it possible its just the speed sensor or can it be something else I need some advice

Replace your speed sensor, and the fuel needle problem is caused by your float being stuck, or your sending unit being bad. Its a quick job to change the VSS, and to inspect the float all you need to do is remove your back seat and undo the cover next to the fuel pump cover.

thank you, i was wondering does a stuck float affects the acceleration of the car or MPG for some reason when i accelerate my car doesnt respond like it use to it feels like it chokes and the fuel neddle goes all the way down. does a bad speed sensor affects anything?
