Help with compression test please - fuel pump disconnect?
After looking through all the threads about compression testing, I started to test mine today. I got my first cylinder done, but when I went to the second cylinder, I got no cranking sound - it was almost as if the battery had died. So I put the plugs back in, and I was going to push-start it, but it fired up just fine.
So I'm wondering if I disconnected the fuel pump in the wrong manner. I unplugged the 15 amp ECU fuse (under hood), because a member on these boards said that would be an acceptable way to keep the fuel pump from running. Any ideas?
