HELP! Code 10, swapp problems
followed the swap guide: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=550976 I used a 99 si motor into a 92 civic si hatch with a obdII gsr engine harness like you said. I am a little caught up on the last step, namely
“Actually I just recalled that you will have to only do one thing wiringwise. Simply extend the two wires foir the intake air temperature sensor. for some reason the B16A2 is the only B motor that I know od that locates its IAT sensor into the actual intake tubing rather than the intake manifold itself. for this reason you must simply extend the existing two wires for that sensor on the engine harness to stretch from the intake manifold (where it is on the Integra) to whatever intake arm you decide to run.”
I didn’t do this step yet, and surprise surprise I’m throwing a code 10: IAT sensor code.
Now I’ve asked around and even taken the car into Honda to see if they could do this for me and what their telling me is that my intake manifold needs to have a place for my IAT to go, like
My 99si motor came with a IM that looks like this
From what I can gather from theguide, my IM (2nd) should be fine. However if that is so, I have no clue as to where the IAT attaches to the intake, if you have a picture or a guide on how to do that, then that would be great, I’ve searched and asked on HT and came up with nothing.
Please help, i went to a local shop and their saying i need to get a new IM, however from the guide it looks like i shouldn't have to. Help me save some money=[
