Default HELP! clutch release bearing woes

My buddy decided he wanted to do a b20z in his hatch with a si tranny about 5 months ago. So I ordered all the parts including a tranny from a ht user and he said it was out of a 99si. All it had was the s4 stamp and it was missing the vin or sticker. So I ordered a fidanza flywheel and f1 clutch and pressure plate from ebay for a b series. I went to honda and got the fork that pushes the release bearing for a 99 si. I think it was a p80 fork. Everything worked fine for about five months until now and it sounded just like a release bearing going bad. Normally a bad throw out bearing starts chattering a lil then over a course of a year or so it gets worse. His went from slight to this **** is gone in like three days.

Now I own a b16 with the exact same clutch setup but my tranny is a jdm one off of I guess a 95 civic sir. So we pulled his motor and checked out the release bearing. It had a bit of rust and it seemed the bearings were ****ed cause they were spinning loudly and didnt have any spring in them. I told him we should pull the pressure plate but we kinda both agreed the throwout bearing was bad so we just replaced it with the one i had cause the part numbers matched up. He had already purchased one for a 99si and it wouldnt fit and had a different part number. (after some research we discovered this is the bearing for 99 si and i think its made by timkin cause the part # was similer to the one i just pulled and the one off of my car). I noticed that our shift forks where dif, mine was a p24 and his was a p80 but his had a bigger hole and I noticed the ball it sits on in his tranny was a bit bigger than mine so we kept his shift fork. We put everything back togather and its still doing the exact same thing. Sounds just like a bad release bearing.

Now Im stumped, the part number for the only release bearing that would fit is 614068. The one for a 99 si is 614122 and one for a b20z2 is 614072. I can search the 614068 and find the bearing it just always says its for multiple hondas. If i give the parts store this number they are not able to put a vehicle to the part but they can order it.

So I guess my question is what throw out bearing do I need and what fork. I thought all the vtec b series where the same. I know that my clutch choice was a cheap but i dont think its the problem. My clutch stuff had all been used for 20k miles and I never had a problem but as soon as we put the exact same release bearing in his its messed up. Just someone please shed some light on what Iv just given u. Thanks so much and sorry for the novel

basically i can find the actual part everywhere i look, it just doesnt say what its for and if it does it list like twenty hondas and when i search on honda or advance auto they all have different part numbers so they shouldnt be the same.

well i finally found a matching number at advance. The release bearing iv been using is for a 88-89 prelude s, 86-87 acura legend 2.5 v6, or a sterling 827s sl (whatever that is). So wtf, should i be using this? The si one wouldnt even fit over the shaft.
