Yesterday when i was driving my car started leaking from what i think is called
either the clutch lever or clutch actuator. It is the piston that is located in front of the
transmission that moves when you press the clutch.

Now i need to replace it.
do i use a civic one or a prelude one.
And what is the correct name for that piece.

h22 eg civic.

Its called the Master and Slave cylindar's. No you dont need a prelude setup, you just need to get a factory EG replacement one at either your local auto parts store, the honda dealer, or at a junkyard. Shouldnt cost a whole lot.

just found out its the slave thanks. Im gonna run down and get the replcament. and do it my self. Now when i bleed it i just need to loosend the nipple on the slave right.

ok just got the civic one and only one screw bolts into the tranny!

Well this is now a no brainer it looks like you have an H22 swap in there so you will need on for the car that your trans came out of

yes but braniac above told me i could get away with the civic one. obviously having no idea what he was talking about.

do you think i could get away with using one bolt

If it was me I would just get the right one.Your just asking for trouble bolting it in with only one bolt. Next time you can check the part numbers and see if they are the same any parts store should be able to tell you if they are

you have to remember the people that post on these forums...some are retarded and you shouldn't trust and some are knowledgable...if you only use one bolt you have a tendancy for the push rod inside the slave to not put enough pressure on the shift fork in order to shift. So I would recommend getting a prelude one.

Just go get an h22 slave master cylinder. And make sure it's for the non ATTS transmission as I believe the master/slave cylinder are different.

reread his post.
he clearly stated that i dont need the prelude setup. which means he did notice the part about the h22 swap
