Help!! check engine light, cant figure it out please help!!!
i have a 94 ex coupe, its got aD16Y8 swap in it, when i got the car it had a ghetto wiring harness, OBD-2 injectors, alternator, and distributor, but it was all converted to OBD-1, it idled wierd but no check engine light, so i swapped all OBD-1 stuff on to it, Z6 engine harness, injectors, distributor, and alternator, and now it throws a check engine light, im not sure if its throwing a 1 or a 10, i know on obd-0 the light is on the ecu but obd-1 u jump it, so i did that and blinks once but its kinda long blink, not sure if its a 1 or a 10, 1 is the o2 sensor, which that was fine before the harness swap, and 10 is the air intake temp sensor from what ive seen on here, but i dont know what it is please help!

One long blink would be 10, one short blink is 1. Just like two long blinks followed by three short ones is 23.

Short blinks =1
Long blinks = 10
By the sounds of it, intake air temp.

It is exactly that, a sensor that measure intake air temperature.
I'm tryin to find a picture of it on your d16y8 for you....

Located on the back of the intake manifold I do believe. I could be wrong. The IM utilizes the IAT (Intake Air Temp), the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure), the IAC (Idle Air Controller), and the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Good luck!

ok that would make sense, cuz i i have two extra plugs on the OBD-1 harness i couldnt find anyplace to plug in, maybe i just need to look closer, i thought it was that sensor on obd2 cars that just plugs right into the intake arm?

on the d16y8 i believe they were in the intake arm. and on the stock d16z6 it is on the back of the intake manifold. the only way to rig it is to get a IAT sensor from a obd 2 car and wire it up into the intake arm
