Default Help with CEL codes and weird noise when starting...

I've been trying to figure out what codes my CEL is throwing but I can't seem to figure it out. I've taken a video of the CEL codes and I think they're the following:

7 - TPS
65 - Secondary Oxygen Sensor Heater wire (black wires)
70 - ???

I've tried resetting my CEL and it throws the same codes (just in different orders sometimes).

Additionally, there seems to be a weird high pitched noise when I start my car. Does anyone have any idea what that is?

Thanks in advance.

Post your CEL video on a public site (e.g., YouTube).

Think you could delete my original link and add this instead?

Why do you have two accounts?

Codes are correct. What car do you have? Auto or manual transmission?

I didn't realize my brother was signed on.

What's the last code though? The one with the 7 long flashes? I cross checked it with the CEL codes list and it didn't match up with anything.

I have a 96 DX stock d16y7 with manual transmission.

Code 70 is an automatic transmission code. You have an auto ECU for a manual transmission.

CEL sticky updated to include code 70.

You're right. It's P2E-A71. Do you think the wrong ECU could be the culprit for the other codes as well? I was reading that you could use an auto ECU for a manual car but not vice versa. Is that correct?

This is a stupid question, but would it make a difference if I used an OBDIIb ecu instead of an OBDIIa?

You car and ECU are OBD2a, so there's no mismatch there. An OBD2b ECU would not work.

Codes 65 and 7: Check whether 7.5A dash fuse 15 is blown, and whether the TPS power wire gets 5 reference volts (from the ECU) with the key in ON(II).

Oh okay.

I checked fuse 15 last night. It was still good. I'll check the volts from the TPS.

Btw, did you get a chance to hear that sound right when the car started? It never used to make that high pitched sound when starting.

Changed the secondary O2 sensor and the TPS code went away.

Can I use a M/T EX ECU even though my car is non-vtec?
