Default Help car won't start!!

Ok, so I can't find my old thread becuase honda-tech is crazy with new topic's. I have a 1992 Civic LX and I recently swapped a D16Z6 (freshly built) into it. Stock harness and everything. I replaced my starter becuase after trying to start it once I thought that was the problem. I go to start it again and it still won't start!! I can hear my exhaust putt out sometimes and then it just doesn't want to start and then sounds like ****. The wires and distributor is set correctly and the timing SHOULD be set correctly as well. (TDC the Marks on the Cam-gear are even with the head.) I resanded all my grounds to make sure that wasn't a problem...anyone have any idea's? Fuses all checked out good, so did my main relay and my fuel pump works also. thanks!

Your engine problem is a bit over my head, but the "recent topics" up by your name in the upper right corner will help you find your old thread

check for spark...pull a plug wire and hold it against something metal. have somebody crank it over and you should see it arc to whatever you're holding it against.

If it is freshly built, you may have too low compression. Have you checked it?

Explain to me exactly how you determined that the mechanical timing was correct before you tried to turn it over. If you're getting spark and fuel, compression or timing is the only thing holding you back.

Get back to use when you can post some new information.
