Plase, if anybody has experienced the same thing your help will be greatly appreciated.
I was driving my car normally, when suddenly I tried to shift into second gear and it would not engage. I thought I had ran out of brake fluid in the master cylinder but it was full, so I ruled out any leaks. To be sure, I went ahead and bought bothe the slave and master cylinder from the autoparts store, installed them, bled the system, and it still does not want to go into gear while the car is on.
If I turn the car on while in gear, the car will slowly start to go, which is indicative that the clutch is still engaging.

Any suggestions? (pressure plate, throwout bearing ??)

possible broken spring on the friction disc? is this a sprung clutch?

yes, its a sprung heavy duty street disc (ACT), and an ACT xtreme pressure plate

I had the same thing happen to the Civic. I bought the car and drove it home (3 hour drive) everything was well. A couple weeks later it wouldn't go into gears when the car was on. But I also had less pedal pressure, I tried bleeding the system with no luck, So I got a new slave cylinder and while changing it I was able to pull the clutch fork out of the tranny.

I pulled the tranny out and it ended up being a broken pivot bolt for the fork. which in turn broke a tab off of the throw out bearing. It looked like the bolt had been broken for awhile but was held in place by the retaining clip/spring, Until the day it found it's way out of the fork, causing the not going into gear problem.

Needless to say I had to replace the bolt & throw out bearing. I also replaced the fork due to some wear where the throw out bearing attatched to it just to cover all damage. Everything else was fine because the clutch, PP & flywheel had just been replaced 2,000 mile before I purchased the car. ACT as well.

New Honda throw out bearing - $90.00
New Honda shift fork - $22.00
New Pivot bolt - $12.00

Now I think the bolt breaking was kinda rare but it's something to consider. I'd take a guess at pressure plate. That may be more common. Just a guess, I'm no expert.

i had some issues after changing my clutch...gears would not work. After searching, heres what i have found

1-Leak in the hydro system
2-Bad slave/master cylinder
3-Bad throw out bearing
4-Bad pressure plate
5-Issues with pilot bearing (the one that goes on the flywheel, where the input shaft is)
6-Shifter stabilizer is too tight
7-AIR IN THE SYSTEM (sounds silly, but i didn't drive my car for 3 weeks before finding that was it)

It sounds like your clutch. More than likely the spring in the clutch disc is broken or a part of the disc might have broken off. I just replace a clutch for a customer today with the same problem. Great pedal pressure, but the car will not go into gear if the motor is running.
