HELP !!!! CAR SHUTS OFF RANDOMLY !!!!
ok first off, i have a 1992 Civic DX that HAD a stock motor in it.... along with a kill switch... there are times i would be driving randomly and my car would just die on me... it would crank, but wouldnt actually start... this would happen like once a month... but i just recently did a swap thinking that it would correct the problem but it happens MORE often now... it happens like EVERY SINGLE DAY... there are times that i would sit at a light, idling waiting for the light to hit green and it would just shut off... my friend just recently changed my DISTRIBUTOR... and i have a different ALTERNATOR that came with the D15b setup.... now i'm thinking, what can it be thats making my car turn off randomly ??? i still have power and all that, but the car just wont turn on after it shuts off... after the shut off process, i ALWAYS have to wait 5 long minutes for it to actually start up with no problem... oh, i forgot to mention that i had a kill switch on the stock D15b7 motor, but had to get it removed b/c of the wiring for the new JDM D15b motor... would it be the battery ??? alternator ??? distributor ??? wiring ???? kill switch ?????
I NEED HELP BADLY !!! I CANT STAND THIS !!! THANKS IN ADVANCE

Re: (NeWnMpR0VeD)
Could be the fuel filter, pressure regulator or even the fuel pump. Basically I'm thinking it's a fuel related problem based on the info provided. Start by replacing the fuel filter and running some injector cleaner through the fuel system. Go from there..
