HELP! car shaking under acceleration
98 civic dx. Just got new axles in the front due to blown cv boots and had my mechanic install them. Damn car shakes under acceleration. What the hell is this?? I took it to a tire store and they cleaned all the old grease off the inner wheels so it wouldnt shake at highway speeds. Not sure if its worked yet as I havent gotten on the expressway yet with it. Still shakes like a **** off the line.
ANybody know what this could be??

So its only durning acceleration? Once you get to a cruising speed its fine? Sounds like a busted engine mount to me. But I'm not sure.

could be misbalanced tire, usually mine shakes about 60 mph if its not balanced right. also could be your transmission. my tranny was making my car shake bad also. or he give you a bad axyle

Bald tires, slipping clutch, motor mounts?
Check for bald tires: Easy look at your tires, if there bald then there bald.
Check for slipping clutch: Put the car in first up to 4mph and then put it into 4th. If the clutch grabs and the car stalls its good, if it shakes like hell and keeps going then its slipping.
Check for bad motor mounts: Lift the car securly on jack stands. Have someone in the car and with the car on shifting through gears. If you see the motor shake alot then its a motor mount and look around to see which moves the most during this check.
