Icon2 Help With A/C wanted

I am a search dude, most of the time SEARCH is wonderful thing. But some time i just cant find the correct info no matter how long i search... ;(
Anyway, here is my situation.

I have done AC install few weeks ago while was rebuilding my engine, it was quite easy as i didn't have my engine in my car, the bitch was to assemble the "puzzle" to its places. But as soon as i found out how/where all went like a charm

Quick question for people who know more about the A/C systems. Here its what i have got.

Bought all the system except filter/drier(the one under the PS bottle) from a guy, everything was removed from '94 civic (mine is '93), so it uses a R134a refridgerant. I have seen R134a marked on evaporator and on the compressor.

So the question is: I have already bought Direr/Filter from another local scrapyard. The only thing is i don't know if it was removed from 92-93 witch uses R12 or 94-95 which uses R134a.
Are they interchangable? They do have the same part number, but ... Or before refill i need to confirm that drier is for correct system (R134a) ?

Thanks for replies...

Never use a used filter dryer, go to any local parts store and just buy a new one, They are only few bucks. By the way their function in the system is to remove moisture and contaminants from the a/c system, and a used one that is not sealed and sitting at atmosphere will not work. Is your 93 a r12 system? Honda made both types in 93. If you car is r12 you will need to flush the entire system to remove all the r12 compatible oil and replace it with oil designed to work with your r134 compressor. The hose ends and a/c fittings are different on r12 and r134 systems so r12 parts won't just bolt in to your r134 system. Good luck.
