Default Help!! A/C problems!!

K my car is a 98 Civic Hatch. Orignially came with a/c. K i have a b18b swap complete with compressor. I got the A/c lines and condensor from a 99 SI. Everything fits perfect. B series compressor. I refilled my a/c with R134a and it worked for a day then i noticed that my a/c became hot again. I noticed that I have little holes in my Condensor. Looks like it kinda got burned. Why would this happened? Help me out. Is the bseries compressor too strong for the Civic condensor? Help me. Condensor worked fine but fan went out along wit the condensor.

Sounds to me like you OVERFILLED your sytem and your pressures got a little too high. You'll probably have to get a new condensor. Unless you have all the right tools to work an an ac system, have a shop do it. If you just slapped a ystem back in after it's been sitting, you're going to have air and moisture in that system, which are both VERY bad. What you need to do is get a new condenser, take it to a shop and have them pull a vacuum on it for 2 reasons. One is to get all the air and moisture out, and secondly they can see if you have any leaks. If the vacuum doesn't hold, you have a leak. Also, have them weigh the right amount of refrigerant into the system. Another thing to look at is to have the filter drier changed out. That's something that should be done anytime you have an AC system open for an extended amount of time.
This is 7 years of residential and commercial AC work talking here. BTW.

I've seen too many people destroy their AC by just going and getting a filler kit from auto zone or something. First, you do have to vacuum your system down before filling it...if not you'll create too much pressure and blow it up. Second, if you have a half condenser like my 92 Hatch does, putting R134 in is not going to cool your car like it should...if you want to be cool in your ride, you should bite the bullet and go get R12 put in...the difference is amazing.
