help on buying a 92 civic hb
im thinking of buying a black 92 civic hb with a 98 gsr engine. the engine has 45k miles. it also has type r camshafts. the car rolls on civic hx 14 inch rims. he wants $6,100 for it. does that sound like a good buy? if he changed the engine it in, he would have had to change the tranny too right. thanks for the info.

Re: help on buying a 92 civic hb (tegsleeper)
i'd personally try and talk him down some more. as far as changing out the tranny yes he must have changed it since the stock d series tranny isn't compatible with the b series gsr motor.

in order to have a GSR motor he has to do a full change over .meaning motor , tranny , axles , ecu , shift linkage and some mounts .
try to offer him less , see what happens .
