Help - Broken Fuel Door
This post is for my dad, he's got a '93 del sol. The lever to release the fuel door worked up until the other night, when a little metal clip popped off the inside of the door. We have the metal clip but just don't know exactly how it goes back on. Could someone open their fuel door and take a pic of where the metal clip is at so I can see how to attach it for him?
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Help - Broken Fuel Door (mhamric)
lucky my project car was in the garage (it's really cold out here) so here you go. I know it's a 6th gen civic but it might be the same, they are civics.
btw my gas door doesn't sit flush so i'm working on it.

Re: Help - Broken Fuel Door (mhamric)
Since nobody else has posted a Del Sol pic, here's some shots I snapped of my 97's gas door. Should be identical to yours.
If you click each one it should bring you to an 800x600 image. Some might be a little blurry, I had to take off my gloves to futz with the camera, and they went numb quick since it's -8 out there.
And before anyone says anything, yes, my car is dirty as hell. I've tried visiting a bunch of car washes in the past week but they've been closed due to the temps. The couple that were open weren't touchless and their cloth strips were iced over, so no thanks.
