HELP! BROKE DOWN ON ROAD. BURNED OUT 2 GEARS. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Hey I'm on here helping a friend. He's got a '92 cx that broke down somewhere between NYC and NC. He said he "burned out two gears" and he wants to know what he has to do. Is his transmission shot? Will he be able to get home without a new transmission? If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Unfortunately for him I'm his only outlet to H-T and I'm more than new to all this. If you can remember that in your responses. Thanks in advance!

tell your friend to use the working gear and go home in that gear... won't get home fast but will get home... burnt 2 gears = bad synchros...
