Default HELP. Bad Thermostat

A while back, my car overheated for some reason so i replaced the radiator and fan. Today, it seemed really cold so when i was driving, the temperature when in between normal and cold. I drove it on the freeway and it seemed to be normal. I took a road between some mountains and it suddenly went all the way to cold. Drove back n drove it away to a city about 30 miles from where i live (San Ramon, CA) it seemed to be ok i guess, just a lil bit below the normal line. On my way back, it was normal until i reached my city it went down between normal and cold. Could the problem be that I need a new thermostat ? I have enough coolant in my radiator so that can't be it

definately the thermostat. Get another new one, make sure you get the right one for your car. Its stuck open, thats why the car doesnt heat up properly.
