Help! Bad city mpg in my 99 Civic!
My stock 99 Civic VP sedan (automatic) is only getting 24 mpg in the city.
It starts and runs great and the CEL light is not on.
I keep it tuned (NGK plugs, wires, timing, air & gas filters, valves adjusted), but can never get better than 24 mpg in straight city driving. I drive it normally and don't have a heavy right foot. Recently, I changed the before cat O2 sensor, but it hasn't changed the gas mileage.
I'm disappointed because my 88 Civic DX (auto) got 28 MPG in the city and beginning to think that 24 is the best that I can get with the car.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
