Icon3 Help! Bad Axle???

Ok, im kinda new to the honda scence and after searching threads i couldnt find anything pertaining to the problem i am having. I have a 99 ex and im having a problem with an axle i think. Sorry to be such a noob but im looking for help from people like you that know more than me. My car is making a grinding noise when I am turning. This is happening only when I am turning right. The weird thing is that it only happens when I am in gear so thats why I am thinking its an axle possibly? Any ideas?

Very easy to change out an axle on these Civics, I've got it down to less than 30 min. Many people can do it even faster.

it took me 3 hours of hell to file down the shock tower so the axle could fit through, it may depend on what brand axle you get, mine was GSP so i had to file down the shock tower

What exactly are you talking about? Shock tower?

If you mean the damper fork, you're supposed to remove. It's only held on by 2 bolts.

Axle for sure, but if it's making that sound while turning right and going straight then it could also be a busted wheel bearing.

so i finally got my car to the shop and put it on the lift. found out due to my negligence of working on my car due to being busy that i am missing the bolt on the bottom part of my driver side mount. Does anyone have any idea where i can find one of these? I know the bolt is 12 x 1.25 but i wasnt sure if it was a bolt i could just pick up at my local hardware store. ive searched for this thing for 2 days now and no luck. Im going to replace all mounts while im at it cuz they are worn out but if anyone knows where to find this bolt let me know please!!! Any help would be appreciated. thx

i JUST bought a 12 x 1.25 bolt from lowes (was 4 dollars) and cut it to replace one of my brake caliper bracket bolts, i'm pretty sure you can use any general hardware bolts, if your scared it could vibrate loose, buy some locktite and put some of that on there
