Re: help b16a2 will no start (abusedhusband)
i don't won't to sound dumb, but i had the same problem with my gsr swap in my ek, in the process of the swap i put the ecu in and forgot to plug in one of the connectors in the kick, the reason for this was because i was thinking that the extra plug was in the car in case it was auto. once i relized the cel wasn't coming on thats when i found it, so check to make sure that all plugs in the right kick panel are plugged in, i think it was a blue connector probably about 20 pins,....just a thought

Re: (19slocivic97)
i tryed to start it ,it does turn over but the fuel pump and the injectors have no power , i was told off a guy thats done lots of b16 swaps but on 96eks and he said the 96 dont have that plug ,all they have is the 3 for the ecu and the green one for the interior.
but ive been told that it does sound like the imob cos the imob cuts all the power to fuel the car.

Re: (pleej)
If that isnt the problem then I would be willing to say that it is a ground somwhere in the engine bay that connects the engine to the chassis. check the one on the thermostat housing.

Well, between the transmission ground and the valve cover ground, you should be covering your starter, your ECU, your injectors, and your spark plugs. Make sure you have both and the contact points are clean.

Re: (Blk00EJ8)
check your ground on the thermostat housing, there is a couple of wires that bolt down to the housing. i made the same mistak when i did a motor swap in my eg. its a ten mm bolt

Yea I would check all your grounds. It has got to be something small, If its turning over and getting fuel to the injectors

I'm willing to bet that this is your problem... When you say it turns over do you mean it turns over and the radio ect turn on or do you mean the actually tries to start but just wont fire?

hey whats up i have done a swap before in to a 99 civic(obd2b) I had the same problme sense i have never done this swap before. u need to use the wiring harness from the engine u took out. the obd2b wiring harness itself only has two plugs on it and the other plug comes from the fuse box that is where ur check engine light comes from etc. everyting will work but the car wont start because all the ignition components come from that third plug. You need to use that wiring harness from the 99 civic on ur b16a2 then it will work
