Default Help! B16a2 ecu problems in a eg...

okay so i have a complete b16a2 swap in my eg... am also running a 99 gsr harness with a p28 ecu... i got the car like this, there isn't a check engine light... but then again am running a single v-tec ecu so i know it gets rid of the knock sensor and possibly other sensors... in you guys opinion, would you guys recommend to get a 99-00 si harness and a p2t ecu, or keep my setup like this and get the ecu chipped for a b16? or any other setups? the car feels weak, compared to other b16 swaps in eg's... am kind of confused... thanks in advance...

Just get the P28 chipped for a B16A, you can't use a '99 - '00 Si harness, you would have to get a conversion harness for the ECU, and then wire in the knock sensor, secondary O2 sensor, CFK sensor and possibly something else I missed.

If you simply chip the P28 with stock B16A maps it should work exactly the same as the P2T ECU. If you put it on the dyno and tune it you should be able to get a little more out of it, although don't expect much if its stock. Other guys on here can tell you a lot more about chipping and tuning than I can though.

Shouldn't a stock P30 out of a DOHC del sol also work?

yeah thats what am probably end up doing... i been hearing that the p28 is pretty easy to chip and that you could to do a lot to it... i probably wont dyno it because since its all stock i personally believe it will be a waste of money... now how much getting the p28 chip cost?
