help with b16a2!
ok so heres the deal. recently had a b18 block attached to my original b16a2 head. i decided to get the original b16 block and swap it back in.
the car ran pretty good before hand and after 3 weeks of work (mostly waiting for miscelanios parts to arrive) i got it all set back up.
i went to crank it today and it idles horribly! and if i step on the gas at all it dies at about 3000 rpm. i went back and checked all my hoses and sensors but everything looked right.. i have no leaks (that i can see).
it is also putting out alot of smoke from running to rich. i have some msd injectors in it and i was running rich before but now it seems i am running extremely rich because ive got a ton of black smoke comming through the exaughst. also after about 30 seconds of it running my new spark plugs were coated in soot.
i checked the timing and it seems to me to be pretty dead on. i had even hand turned it over several times to make sure there was no resistance.
any sujjustions would be great!

what kind of ECU are u running? also obd-1 or obd-2? try replacing the injectors with stock ones first. eliminate varables by using OEM parts :D

yeah the first thing i tried was stock injectors... im running a obd1 ecu with a jumper harness. its a p05 and chipped to work with the b16a2. it ran fine before i took it apart.. i have done a compression test which came back fine and i tripple checked my camshaft timming.

no i hadnt. i actually ordered the stock em1 ecu. will this fix the problem? would the tune for a 1.8 really affect it like that?
