HELP ASAP!! CAR DIED!! WONT START
ok it was running fine when i went to my friends house, i leave 2 hours later and car starts fine and everything.. i stop at a red light after about 5 minutes of driving and my car starts to idle weird.. so when the light turns green, i drove about 100 yards then hit a slight bump, and it just died!! all of the lights in the gauge cluster came on (SRS, Battery, CEL, Brake and Oil) i pressed the gas.. nothing, so i pulled into a parking lot before i lost momentum
i tried to jump start it but that failed and everything was connected right
any possibilities as to why my car would just die all of a sudden??
(i just put an intake on my car so you think maybe i hydrolocked?? i didnt hit any puddles but when i left my friends house i noticed that my car was wet like it rained outside)

just because it rained outside doesn't mean you'll hydrolock, especially if it was parked.
what year car is it? engine? any CEL?

sounds like an electrical problem. if it was a spark or fuel problem the motor will turn, but not start.
how's your battery? check your alternator belt. i also heard that symptoms like this happen when the ignition switch goes out. something to consider.

his car does crank, if its not getting fuel it will crank but NOT start. I would do the basics first, pull your battery out and go get it tested, its free. Then check all connections. I have a feeling its the battery

either it cranks (that's what we mean by turning over) or it doesn't.

Re: (muhaMan)
don't forget to check you ground cable connections. Also are the terminals on the battery all corroded? If they are, clean them up real good and shiny with a wire brush and clean you cable connections too. Then give it a shot.
