Help an amature
I'm 16 and will be getting a job soon so I can buy a non-pos like the one I have now. I want pretty much all GO(of I want it took look relatively decent), so what would you suggest. I'm pretty sure I'm be getting a civic hatchback. Now my question is, eg or ek. I know eg's are lighter and all, but can you make an ek just as fast with the same stuff put on it? Also, which model(vx, si, dx, cx), which? This would help me out alot if you guys could answer my questions, thanks.

The 5th gen hatches have rust issues but if you can get past that then it is pretty much what do you like?
And the 5th gen hatches are cheaper since they are older.

A fifth generation hatch in the same condition as a sixth generation hatch fetches a MUCH higher price than the sixth generation. (obviously, if they're in the same condition, the fifth gen hatch has been babied)
Now, if you're talking about a CRAP fifth generation hatch, Ok, it's cheaper because its crap, not because it's older. Older doesn't mean worse.
The fifth gen has more aftermarket parts, is an easier engine swap chassis (because of OBDI rather than OBDII), accepts more of the engine swaps, is lighter, and even more, it's more aerodynamic.
Good fifth gen hatches fetch high prices because of customizers. Just check how much sport compact car had to pay for the unwrecked DX they bought.
