Default HELP!

Ok, so my car wasn't working right. The alternator wasn't doing it's job and the battery kept dying. So i replace my alternator and put everything back on like it was, tried to start my car....nothing. It wouldn't even turn over. I tried jumping it and it still wouldn't do anything. My brake lights work but nothing else (dome light, beeping when you open the door and the car is in the ignition). Would it be my starter? or should i just take it to a local honda and tell them to fix it.

It all started when i put headers a cat and a cat-back exhaust on my car. I had to extend the wires on the secondary o2 sensor and everything hasn't worked right since. I put my stock headers back on and unextended the wires, and got like a 20 test pipe with flanges on them to make up for the cat i had and kept the rest of the exhaust on. Now it runs right, but the battery dies, so i change the alternator and.....the rest you know. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.

Here's a newsflash for you:

If you want some help why don't you post a topic with a title that actually has something to do with your problem instead of "HELP!" because this place is obviously here for help.

As far as your Q goes, what type of wire did you use to extend your o2 wiring? When you "unextended" the wires how did you go about doing that too?

It might just be a coincidence that your alternator stopped working. What type of alternator did you install? Used? Aftermarket? I don't trust aftermarket crap any further than I can throw it, and used is well, used.

so it has no juice at all? it wont even try to crank when you jumped it? now, when you said jump, do you mean jump start or with cables? try replacing the battery because thats what happened to me. hope that helps.

sounds like you blew a fuse.check all the underhood and underdash fuses.
BTW-yuo should try naming your post better."Help" doesn't tell anybody anything about what your thread is about-you'd probably get a lot more responses if it were titled according to what it concerned.

Did you disconnect the battery when you changed the alternator? If you didn't you may have blown a fusible link or one of the fuses.

Fuse or crappy scmucks alternaters that cut out on a weekly basis. I guess thats why they throw in a lifetime warranty

ok, sorry about the "title" i just didn't know what to name it, but anyway, yes i got a honda alternator that wasn't used and i did take the battery off. I will check fusses, i guess that's what did it. Too dark outside right now. Thanks for the help, if that doesn't work, i'll get back on.

allright you guys, i checked my fuses and my 80a fuse for the battery was blown. So i fixed that and cel is still on, so i check the codes and there were four of them
-speed sesnor (speedo didn't work, so i expected that)
-air/fuel malfunction
-1st o2 sensor
-2nd o2 sensor

So the next thing i was going to do was change out my o2 sensor which should fix the air/fuel code. Then get a speed sensor for like 96 bucks and i should be good. Does that sound good? Anything else i would need to do?

I believe that the "Alternator SP" fuse (I think fuse 15, 7.5A) provides power to the components you've listed.

You may still have a fuse blown.

Get a Helms and multimeter and start troubleshooting.
