HELP! 99-00 Front-End Conversion on a 97' Hatch
Hey everyone,
I'm having an issue fiting this 99-00 SiR front-bumper on my 97' hatch. I think I know what the fitment issues are so I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this issue.
I was thinking all I have to do is put alittle notch in the bumper for it to fit over the mounting surface.
Thank you to anyone in advance.

Oh yes, I have the complete front-end. Fenders, Hood, Lights, Bumper, Grille.
Everything.

I was always told I would never need a rad-support from a 99-00 and I dont think i do.

you can either notch the bumper or grind the lip on the mount. but you grind it your gonna have to paint it so it dont rust

You can grind the bumper itself or the radiator support where it doesnt line up. You can use a dremel or a makita grinder.
Or swap out the radiator support, but whatever.

You don't need it... you can beat the crap out of it to make it fit. But yes, it would help fitment if you replaced it. I've said this before, and every once in awhile people try to tell me that it will fit with no modification.
I've posted these photos before.
Not my car though, I like my '98 front.

Yeah, just push the plastic through the metal.

Don't know if this helps, but i was running into the same problem so what i did was get a hammer and bend those tabs. Got the job done. I did not want to cut the plastic, and if i ever decide to go back i'll bend it back into place.

Re: (mr. goodwrench)
Its crazy, I never thought that everyone else would run into the same problem I have. I think that cutting the plastic is probably the best idea. I dont want to damage any of the metal, and yes the grill is going to cover the area that is notched.
thanks guys, keep up the post.
