help: 96 civic fan did not turn on.

Default help: 96 civic fan did not turn on.

i have a 96 civic hatch swap with a 99 b16a2. I'm been have some problem trying to finger out why is the fan don't turn on when the engine heat up. Also my engine keep spit this code p0505.

this is what i done so far:
i bought a new thermostat
i change the coolant temperature SWITCH
i check the fuse

still the same..this code p0505 have to do with the fan

any help or idea lmk thanks

check the fan motor. not sure what code is p0505.

Did you replace your fan switch? Also if your car is running hot you can wire your fan to your battery so its running the entire time your car is on.

i hot wire my fan but does anybody know how i can get it to fun normally.. you know the fan spins when the engine reaches certain tempurture.

Check the fan motor by wiring it directly to the battery. If it won't run, the fan needs to be replaced.

If the hot-wired fan runs, check whether fuses 17 or 57 is blown or whether the fan relay under the hood is bad.

P0505 may indicate a bad IACV or an intake air/vacuum leak. Is the idle speed too low or too high?
