I have a 95 CX and yesterday when i got ready to leave for work it would not start, All it would do is turn over and finally i rolled it down the hill and jumped it off when it started it puffed a big cloud of black smoke, so i set off to work and made it about a mile down the road and it died almost like running out of gas but has half a tank, now all it will do is turn over, i thought it sounded like the fuel pump at first but it seems to be kicking on, any ideas or has anyone had the same problem???

so, when you turn the key to the ON position, you hear the fuel pump cycle?

yep the fuel pump is definately kicking on I am thinking its definately gotta be a firing issue because oif the fact that there were no earlier problems just hit all of a sudden, if the fuel filter was stopped up or something wouldnt there be ongoing problems with it.

I have a 92 civic lx , it did pretty much the same thing but i was driving when it died , i came up to a stop light and it died instantly, now it turns over but gets no fuel pressure from the tank , and ive replaced the fuel pump , main rely, ECM , ICM, fuel filter, and alot more

i pulled the distributor cap and the rotor looked in pretty bad shape, anyone know if a bad distributor rotor could cause it not to crank?

so, now it doesn't crank? If the rotor is bad, it will still crank, just won't start or at least run very well.

wtf is a stop light lol ? umm i duno whats wrong sounds like a spark or timing issues especially if ir cap and rotor are F-ed up relpace them and see what happens. is ur CEL light on? if so check what code ur getting then you will have a better idea of what it is....

Sounds like you need a dizzy. Mine did they same thing on the highway. I ripped the guts out of another dizzy and put it in mine and it started right up.(I ripped the guts out of a non vtec OBDO...so nobody asks why I didn't just use the other dizzy)

figured it out, it was the cap and rotor, replaced it thursday and it fired right up...

Dizzy problem, bro...Have someone lend you one and swap and see if that works for you, but it sounds like it's your dizzy...I had the same problem some yrs. ago!
