Help with 94 civic: FUEL/GAS/AIR problem? stutters when at red light or when put foot on gas?


starts up nicely.
when in Park, idles consistantly at 1200 rpm
when in Drive, idles a little lower and fluctuates around 1000rpm.
when driving, sounds like not enough air/ or fuel, is getting through, causing engine to stutter, but then can still drive. sometimes it does not make it and engine dies. Put back into Park to start car.
can keep driving, but there is a stutter problem.
i already removed alot of carbon deposit in air ways using seafoam, and also removing the iavc to clean out with carb cleaner.
i put some fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank, it runs a little better now because of it, but it still stutters and stalls.
what other fuel probs can i take a look at and try to fix this?

when is the last time you did a full tune up (spark plugs, wires, dizzy (or atleast rotor button), oil, air filter, fuel filter, check o2 sensor)?

i forgot to mention i tried checking on the sparkplugs, 2 of them when u pull it out, the rubber is stuck inside the engine.........

also the 2 that i could actually take out the sparkplug, it was drenched in oil.....

i assume you are blowing some smoke then? oil on spark plugs is never good. i would at least replace the valve cover gasket and the spark plug grommets, but i think you may be able to save the head/head gasket
