all you have to with that b18a1 is find out the year, if it is pre92 dont buy it, its the wrong obd. If it is a 92 or newer all you need is some head work and a hydro tranny and a ecu from a ls/rs teg from 92 to 95 obd1

I saw that you wanted to get some interior work done, i can get pretty sick discounts at this place that does custom interior work on long island, if you want something stock looking or even if you want a custom dash, new carpet and a set of sparco torino seats, i can hook you up.
As far as your motor goes, if you wanna get the best out there, i can see if i can get my hands on a spoon motor and try to hook you up.
otherwise, i would stay try to get your hands on a 2.0 si motor out of a lude or something and get the right mounts and then get a cam, valve springs, and an intake, it might end up costing a little more than a grand but you car will have some *****!
