hey i do not know any thing about del sols, but i was wondering if you could help me out. my friend is looking for a del sol and he is not the richest guy in the world so he wants a cheap one, if any of you guys can help us out that'd be great. and he also wants to do an engine swap. how would a b18c1 do in a del sol? or are there other recommendations on engines? we are kind of strapped for cash, so money is a major factor. say we can put down about 5g for the car and less than 6g for the engine. any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Or you could look for a del sol with a b16a in it...
5g's will buy a b18c1 easy, probably find one for around 3 grand, then your looking at a few more bucks to get it installed if you don't do it yourself. Don't know how much sols run price wise though...

dude......get one with a B16a in it already and spend the money on that engine and get it fixed up.....6 g's on a rebuild.....woah power!!!!

you can find a bunch of del Sols for sale at www.clubsol.com or
www.darksol.com by del Sol owners. i'd recommend trying to find the VTEC model because that is the one that comes with a DOHC VTEC B16 engine. the Si comes with the D-series SOHC VTEC engine and the S comes with the base engine. those sites also have lots of questions and answers about different swaps. just post if you have a question you dont' see.
