help!!!
so i have a 95 coupe that i bought from a friend not running for $500. It had low compression in a cylinder so i said f that motor. I had a d15b8 in my backyard. I put it in and i cant get rid of this check engine light.... the stock motor in a 95 dx is the d15b7. my friend has a 94 hatch thats where i got my d15b8 motor from. but he popped a d15b7 in and has no problems... why is this? and why when i hook up a scanner to my car it cant read anything?? please help.

Re: help!!!
when i hook up my scanner to it, it wont read. it says no connectivity. so i cant check the code, but when i hit clear codes it clears it for a second and then it comes back...

Re: help!!!
Depend what year ECU you are running and what year is your D15Y8.
I swap out my D15Y8 for D15Y7, I had to convert my O2 wires, and ECU for that year model.

Re: help!!!
well the IAT sensor may be causeing the O2 code and the IAT sensor is cheaper than the O2 try replacing the IAT first then pull (+) term of battery and pull ecu fuse from under hood fuse box for 30 sec-1 min then check codes again see if they go away
