Help - 1/3rd of my key broke off in the ignition
I don't know where to post this so I figured here was good, the first 3rd of my key broke off in my ignition...any ideas on how to fix ? Can you take apart the entire ignition and take the broken piece out ? I have a spare so hopefully I can remove this piece...Any help appreciated

Yep this is the right forum for this.
You can take the key switch out and apart to get the key out. Ill look up exactly how to do it in a minute for you.

ok it looks like you remove the plastic cover on the stearing colom, then theres two screws that hold the switch in place remove those and it comes out. After that your on your own. you might have to take some pins in there to kind of grab it or whatever but you should be able to get it out or better yet push it out from the other side. Hope this helps!

To get the key cylinder assembly off of the steering column you'll need to take a dremel or similar tool and put a slot in each of the two round head bolts that hold the cylinder assembly to the steering column. Then just remove them with a standard screw driver. When you get the cylinder out of the car, there will be a small button on the side of the cylinder housing, press it and then you'll be able to pull the key cylinder out. Get the hunk of old key out put a new key into the cylinder and align it to the ON I position. Should just slide back together.
