heavy vibration ? PLEASE HELP !
when i accelerate in 4th or 5th gear between 50-65mph my car vibrates violently ..
is this an alignment problem or is it something else?
when i let go of the gas, it doesnt vibrate, even between 50-65 mph ..
i have koni yellow/sportline springs and ive been hitting a lot of potholes recently, could this be the cause ?
What could be the problem ? Please help !

check all of your tires you could have some broken belts, also when you hit the potholes it could have hit off the weights on the wheels to balance them, i would check that first, just go to a shop and have the balanced

it wont be the tires or alignment because when you engage the clutch it stops, the shaking would still continue if it was the alignment/balance. I would check the clutch definatly, everyone could use a new clutch anyways

There's been acouple of these threads around here. It could be alot of things, from wheel alignment (didn't help me), broken motor mounts (could be), my axle boot is cracked (we'll see), or my tranny is fucked. My stock POS clutch is still in there (new clutch flywheel sittin just waiting for install) so who knows... Shaking while accelerating is a very tough problem to pinpoint. It's a matter of trial and error Good luck bro keep me updated on YOUR situation.

Re: heavy vibration ? PLEASE HELP ! (VTiVTo8000rpm)
the car started squealing and clicking once and a while when im starting to accelerate from 1st-2nd gear .. the vibration seems to be getting worse .. ?
i read in a different thread this might be a tie rod problem ?
if so, how much would it cost to fix at a shop?

tie rods arent too much money to replace...probably like 90 bucks for each side if you're talking about the outters....but i personally think its one of your axles b/c we had the same problem at the shop...some kid said his car is shaking badly, we thought it was a bad ring gear in the tranny...replaced that..wasnt that, he drove off and his axle broke...we replaced that and it stopped the cars vibration

Re: (mr_ducksauce)
thanks for all the help
i went to the shop, they said i have a bad axle and deteriorated bushings on my upper control arms. I have the skunk2 camber kit but hopefully, i can just replace the bushings instead of the whole thing ..
would these things cause the vibration i described earlier ? i dont want to pay to repair this **** and find out it wasnt the cause ..

Yes, I would say there is a very good chance one of the CV joints has excessive wear. The problem diminishing when you coast and increasing when you accelerate is indicative of CV joint sloppiness. I think the shop is on the right track. I've had this problem. Not in a Honda. But same problem.
