Heavy Smoke out the EXHAUST
This is a very different problem for me seeing that I usually have fixed almost every problem I have ever encountered so I need some help from another perspective. I have a 93 EX coupe I had a JDM B16 in the car and what prompted my change was excessive smoke out of the motor I was also burning a lot of smoke out the exhaust. So had another motor ready to go.
I have a 91 ls bottom end new pistons rings, bearings head gasket, a basic rebuild and I had another Del sol b16 head sitting here so i used it to complete my swap along with new valve stem seals and I had it machined to make sure it was level.
Motor goes in starts up without 1 problem but the Biatch is still smoking up a storm so I'm assuming that I have a fuel problem because the smoke smells like carbon but SERIOUSLY BAD. I have never changed the fuel filter (had car for about 3 years ) but in that time I have only driven the cars 12k if that because I have a 93eg and also my dd 98 accord. I bought the car with the swap but it doesn't sound like it has a fuel pump my eg does and when I turn my key you can hear its on as opposed to this car where its quiet.
I already changed the ECU to a stock Dx just to check (no difference) The car runs on no cat so I am expecting some smoke but not like this i had almost the identical setup in my eg with no cat and it runs like stock. another thing I was going to check was the fuel regulator any other suggestions ?

Re: Heavy Smoke out the EXHAUST
Again I just rebuilt the motor its not a blown head gasket. The smoke would be white. the smoke is black and I can smell the carbon out the exhuast.
