Default Heavy Exhaust smoke

I haven't worked on my car in a while so I will let you know about the problem first. The car is Burning a lot of gas Simply put it fumes are black and super heavy only at idle from cylinder 1. I had the head on another motor that threw a rod i might have missed it but is it possible a bent valve is causing this? any knowledge is appreciated.

I wanted to ask if anyone had the compression numbers on a ls-vtec stock bottom with a stock b16 head. So i know what im working with here Cylinder 1-4 were at about 150 and 2-3 were at about 162 so its within the 18lbs of each but i wanted to know what a healthy one would look like and if these numbers are normal (sorry no punctuations at work)

Yeah i would think the compression should be a little closer but since there all around the same it is probly not your problem. How do your plugs look? Start with making sure your timing and spark is strong. Also it could be a failing o2 sensor

Timing is correct and all the plugs do have Black soot on them. the reason I think its cylinder no1 when I pull the wire there is very minimal change in the idle the idle is not smooth but car does not over-heat. and idle is steady at about 900 to 1100 does heat up Normally also does not spike at all. Even revving seems normal heavy smoke only at idle. Did drive it around nothing felt crazy i did red line 2 times and had a slight backfire. what is the timing at top dead center? i thought it was 8 degrees. Maybe i should have checked before I asked.

Just as a side note I have a jdm SIR also That has just about ctr everything on the bottom end and compression is between 215 to 225 all across. if I can get my hand on some CTR cams it will complete the motor lol Thats the motor that came out my Coupe because it needs new valve stem seals I put the ls vtec as a temporary replacement but i was planning on selling it afterwards thats why i wanna make sure it runs well.
