Default Heating problem? In my converted 98 hatch> 99 heater ...

I recently swapped everything to that of a 99 civic SI... you name it i followed the tech write up and yet I still have no hot air blowing in my ride... Some one suggested an airbubble or "pocket" in the heater core??? could flushing the system really fix the lack of hot air on these still cold nights????
