Heater won't blow
95 cx.
I was driving, heater on full blast, then I smell this awful smell and then my heater won't blow anymore.
Fuses are good, underhood, underdash, and the relay is fine. I've pulled both fenders, because I have a wiretuck, and checked both sides, Still no luck. The only thing I haven't done is pull the dash, but I did enough for today, in my opinion.
Could my fan have assed out? Could coolant have leaked somewhere causing a short somewhere? Any input is appreciated.

Re: Heater won't blow
Chances are that "aweful smell" was some wires frying, wether from wearing down and then causing a short or if you have stuff leaking I suppose somehting could have shorted that way(I don't know enough about where the wires are in relation to where any coolant would be coming out), but if you just have the car switched on but not running and you try and turn the heat on does it blow any air at all, can you hear anything moving trying to lbow air? or is there just nothing coming out?

NOthing, nada. I'm pretty sure it's a burnt wire as well. I don't know about the coolant. I just wanted to throw some ideas out, I'll be pulling my dash tomorrow. I'm just too pooped to do it today, Just came back from working on 2 cars for roughly 6 hours.

As you mentioned, the blower motor behind the glove box may be fried. Check whether you can measure battery voltage at the blower connector with the key turned to ON(II) and the blower switch turned ON. If so, the motor likely needs to be replaced. The motor easily drops out by removing three screws.

Okay found out the problem.
So I redid my wiretuck, on the driver side I used the grommet because I had one for that side, and for the passenger side I found a wire grounded out because the lack of a grommet. I made a stupid grommet with electrical tape + loom, and then went under the fan and there is 2 blue wires that connect to the fan with spade connecters and they burned out. So I just bought new ones and rewired them in five minutes, and viola HEAT!=]
Oh yeah, the side that grounded out was the passenger side. I forgot the color of the wire, I think black with a stripe? IDK
