Re: Heater Slider (poppycock)
So you have no heat or your slider won't go over to the hot side to open the valve to let hot air out? If it's just the slider, look under the dash and you can fix that in a hurry. Can't help you too much about the heater core, but I do know it's a PITA to get out and fix.

Look under the dash (I know on my EK you can see it without pulling any panels) and there should be a big cable that attaches to a bracket under the dash right in the middle. If it's connected and moving the bracket, your heater core is hosed most likely. Is there any coolant/water in your floorboard?

you may also want to check the valve on the heater hose.
just pop your hood, and look for the heater hose running through the firewall behind the engine (usually on the left hand side)... you will see a valve (almost like a throttle body opening) with a cable attached to it.... check to make sure it's attached.
