Heater problems !

i bought my car about 6 months ago heaters never worked i just bought a new thermostat and installed it but heater still doesnt work. who ever has any idea on what it could be i would appreciate it. i dont know much about cars sorry

Check whether the heater hose valve on the firewall is stuck closed, and also bleed the cooling system.
