Default heater not as hot?

i noticed that the heater in my car is pretty weak. before the swap the heater used to be strong to the point where i would turn it off for a while in below 30 degrees temp. now that i have my swap, the heat isnt as hot? what could be the problem?

if the heat was working before the swap why would it be the heater core.
Check to make sure you have the right coolent lines connected in the right spots and check the thermostat, and make sure there is no air in the system. Do this buy running the car with the radiator cap off adding coolent as it goes down, also set the inside of the car to FULL heat.

Agreed. Generally, there is either air in the system or the thermostat needs to be changed when this kind of problem occurs. Happened to me last winter.

Just to add, check the thermostat if it was bad and the possible cause of the problem, but generaly never put the old one back in (regardless of condition), get a new one. It is cheap and such a pain if it goes later on.
