Default Heater doesn't work well

Just moved up to chicago area and will definitely need the heat for the winter time...My heat has never been that great but I need it more than ever now.

Checked the input line from engine to heater core; it warms up
Checked the output line back to the engine; it's hot also

Don't know what my problem is the heater sucks and barely dissipates any heat into the cabin
I get a little heat but it's not hot like it should be.

Any help would be appreciated

P.S. DO I NEED A NEW HEATER CORE?

Did you check your Plenum doors, if there not moving thatll direct airflow away from the cabin and dissapate the heat somewhere else.

No your Plenum houses your heater core and evaporator it has a series of blend doors to adjust your comfort setting from real cold to hot if the doors are stuck than itll only produce one type of comfort setting or be warmer or cooler depending on the position of the blend door. It directs the flow of cold air and warm air into the cab dependent on your settings. Hope that helps

Well when i looked underneath the dash at the assortment of fine moving metal lines....i noticed that one of them isn't bolted down and when i move the climate control to warm or cool it just swings around??

WTF? I guess i'll try more stuff after class tomorrow

THANKS!
