Heat Sheilds
I just got those jdm type r 4-1 headers for my b18c and it has mounts for the stick heat sheilds. should i put them on? wuts the point? do they actually help the motor by sheilding heat?
another quick sidebar while i got ur attention, i saw the DIY catch can tut. how neccessary is this thing? if i don't use one will my engine be any worse off?
thanx in advane for helping out da noobies.

You can put it on wont accumilate enough heat to make fluids boil or things melt. you know. It's more like a cosmetic thing with function. Paint it black, put it on see how much cleaner the bay looks with it blacked out. They do really sheild heat if you were wondering.

so u only need a catch can for turbo's?
-if i put it on my n/a would it benefit it in any way?
so if i decide to put da heat-sheild on will it actually help my power by keeping the engine bay cooler and helping my intake charge.
